Red, White & Blue

Fun challenge for PTI MIM--Ink Blending Through Die Cut Masks.  I used the PTI vellum to make a mask with PTI Small Sketched Stars. They're still attached since I like the arrangement & don't want to loose any of them.
My card is for PTI MIMCropStop & One Layer Simplicity.  I used PTI Blueberry Sky for the stars & the sentiment from the new Make It Market kit is stamped in Distress Ink festive berries.  The stars are brushed with Wink of Stella & I splattered on Heidi Swapp white Color Shine & Delicata Shimmery Silver.  Needed something, so I added a scored frame.

OLS
The vellum mask worked great, so I decided to make another card.
I began by inking a die cut rectangle with Blueberry Sky & then stenciled with Memento Luxe Wedding Dress & brushed the stars with Wink of Stella.  The panel was mounted to silver glitter paper.  For the card front I stamped a panel of stripes using an image from PTI Watercolor Wonder & Adirondack Cranberry dye ink. The sentiment is an old favorite from the Oregon company Peddler's Pack & I finished off with PPP Sparkling Clear sequins.  I'm entering Fusion, HLS Anything Goes, Little Tangles, Stamplorations Theme & Sketch.

Clarification:  I die cut the stars from a piece of PTI vellum & used it as a stencil for both cards.

  5. Great cards and designs Greta, I always struggle with red white and blue combos, maybe I should try a paler blue as that works so well here.

  19. Starry spectacular x two! These are fabulous! Actually, I created a card with this technique, too...and used stars as well. Great minds, right?! I've saved it for a down-the-road post, as I don't have enough PTI products to play in their challenges...
